Frequently Asked Questions

Who owns the copyright for the images?

It’s quite standard practice that the photographer will hold the copyright. But with the packages I offer I will provide a licence for you to reprint the images for your own personal use.

What happens if I am ill on the wedding day?

I am in a network of photographers, so if I was ill and and not in a fit state to photograph your wedding I would source a another photographer, who I feel to be of similar standard.

When do you do the pre wedding shoots

Pre wedding shoots are normally done within a couple of months of the wedding date.

What do we need to do to secure a date?

To secure a date there is simply a booking form to complete and sign, along with a £250 deposit

What does photo retouching include?

I am always keen to deliver the best images possible to clients.  I make sure colours are consistent and skin tones look natural as they can. I am not into retouching people’s faces, because who am I to decide that a person’s face needs retouching in the first place

Do we select the images for the album

I will put together the album myself selecting images that I feel work well and tell the story of the day. I will always show couples a copy of the draft version and let them make any alterations before ordering. Most of the time couples really like the design and how it tells the story of the day and there are very few alterations to make.  For a bit more information on albums take a look at the album page

How long will it take for us to receive the albums

This can vary but if before your wedding I know what albums you want I can start putting it together shortly after you wedding. That means you can look at the draft version within a few weeks and I can get it finalised and ordered. The quickest delivery of an album I have done is 4 weeks.

How many hours do I cover

It can be difficult to establish this in the early months of getting things booked, so I try to keep it simple and stress free. Basically I want to photograph your wedding and tell the story of the day. I don’t want you to be worrying about getting charged for additional time on your wedding because things have overrun, and I don’t want to leave half way between the speeches because the time is up.

Do you take formal group shots

Yes I do, I try to keep them simple and get them done quick, as it can be hard to get people away from the Bar after the ceremony.
